Spirit woman

I started making my spirit woman about 6 months ago.

I find arts and craft very therapeutic and I create different things on a regular basis as a part of both my self-care and a love for creating art.

I paid a visit into the recycling place in town and came across the cotton reels. With no intention of creating the spirit women. One day I was sorting through my supplies and came across the cotton reels, they looked like skirts so from then Spirit woman came to be.

I come from a large family of women and working alongside a great team of women that continue to inspire me; I naturally embodied the spirit of women through my work.

The women are hand crafted with 98% recyclable material and made with love.

A poem I loved; that goes well with my beautiful spirit women.

You do not heal & from trauma.
You simply come to know yourself
as Life Itself.
And you turn towards the wounded place.
And you flush it with attention,
which is love.
And maybe the wound will always be with you.
Maybe you will always walk with the hurt.
But now, you hold it. It doesn’t hold you.
You are the container, not the contained.
It doesn’t control you any longer, the wound.
Because it is drenched in awareness now.
Drenched in You.
Loved by You.
Even celebrated by You.
You do not heal from trauma.
You find healing the trauma.
You find yourself at trauma sacred core.
The One who is always present.
The One who can bear
even the most intense feeling states.
And survive.
The Indestructible One.
The Infinite One.
The Powerful One.
You.
